A one-day, instructor-led, hands-on course, presented from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.The Essentials of PowerPoint With this course and some practice, you’ll be a whiz at creating overheads, report covers and computer slide shows that can be used when you’re presenting a talk at a seminar or meeting. You’ll produce a variety of “slides” – ones that contain point-form information, pie charts, line graphs, column graphs, and so on. You’ll learn how this programme can produce speakers’ notes, audience handouts and running computer screen shows for trade show booths. And, finally, you’ll learn how to apply a consistent colour scheme to your slides and liven them up with clipart and photographs. To be comfortable with this course, you should have a good understanding of Windows; be able to minimize, maximize, start and exit programmes; and save and open files.
