Microsoft Visio has advanced features which can be used by those with more specialized requirements. Simplify your complex processes with professional diagrams made in just a few clicks, or create elaborate flowcharts and organization charts with ease by mastering some of the more advanced drawing tools available in this incredibly useful program. Learn how to use Gantt Charts to track projects and illustrate schedules.

Learning Objectives:
In this course you will explore and utilize some of the more advanced tools available in Visio to create and organize your business diagrams. You will learn how to improve readability by using containers and callouts, and how to organize your shapes with layers. You'll also create various process and organization diagrams and flowcharts, and learn how to create Gantt Charts effectively. You will:
- Create specialized diagrams by expanding on your shapes with fields, screen tips, and hyperlinks
- Improve organization and readability by adding and working with containers
- Insert and modify callouts to annotate your diagrams
- Use layers to organize related shapes on a drawing
- Display information about data sources by linking data to shapes and using data graphics
- Create various types of diagrams, such as Process Diagrams, Cross-Functional Flowcharts, Organization Charts, and Workflow Diagrams
- Create and work with Gantt Charts to illustrate project schedules and track their progress
 
Target Student:

Philippe was really good at catering the training to our needs. He figured out what our prior knowledge was on the topic and went from there istead of having us go over things we already knew. If we had been in a group setting this would not have been possible. He also was helpful in letting us know how the 2003 version was different from the 2010. We therefore purchased an additional training manual for the 2010 version as we recently had it installed on our workstations.

There was a little mix up with the time the course was to be held. The website said 9-4 but it should have been 10-5, so when I arrived no one was there. However, it was dealt with quickly after a call and the trainer arrived quickly. I was the only person attending the course, it was very informative and it allowed us to touch on all of the questions I had specifically.

The room was bit too cold in the morning and quite warm in the afternoon, so I would recommend wearing layers for comfort! I would highly recommend this course.
