Course Outline
Pre-Requisites
Students should be familiar with using personal computers and have used a mouse and keyboard (basic typing skills are recommended). They should be comfortable in the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on their computers. Specifically, they should be able to launch and close programs; navigate to information stored on the computer; and mange files and folders.

Visio's multiple functions enable users to create dynamic flowcharts and organization charts by importing data from Excel and other sources. This eliminates time consuming data entry and allows the Visio designer to create professional looking charts that contain the required detail. Visio's formatting features ensure that the document looks as good as it works.
Learning Objectives:
Students will cover some
of the more advanced aspects of working with Visio including different
shapes, diagrams, charts, create custom shapes and stencils, use styles,
connect to external data sources, and set custom properties and
behaviours. You will:

- Create Cross-Functional Flowcharts using Swim Lanes
- Create Manual Organization charts
- Create Organization Charts Using the Wizard
