Too much information in one day - instructor had to race through material, skipping some of it entirely. Start delayed by 20 minutes due to course material not having been properly loaded on computers. These issues continued throughout class, ie some of my important menu tabs were in french, others in english. I had requested an English class. Another student had Excel 2007 instead of Excel 2010, when the rest of us and the instructor were working with 2010. I would have liked to continue to 4:00, but the instructor made it clear that her preference was to leave at 3:30, so no one said anything. The windows had to be opened because the room was too warm, but the people next to the windows were wearing their coats because they were too cold.

The course was completely ruined because their was a complete novice in the class and they slowed down the class and we didn't learn everything that was said on the course description. There should be a questionnaire or a quick entrance test for the intermediate course to prevent this. OR the instructor should move on and tell the novice that if the cant follow to leave and join a different class, it seems unfair that 3/5 people didn't learn because of this.

I took the Intermediate Excel trg on 17 Jul at Compuease and it was excellent. Alain did a great job presenting the material. However, the Advance Lvl 3 crse held on 25 Jul was terrible. The instructor was not prepared, had only slept 1 hour the night before, spent most of the time simply reviewing the various botton options on the main toolbar, and reviewing the text in the handout. We were not able to complete one exercise using an actual excel spreadsheet with info. The instructor keep jumping around from topics and often the students (there was only 2 of us) didn't know what he wanted us to. After 2 hours I gave trying to learn anything from this particular instructor. Very disappointing, especially after such a very well run crse on 17 Jul. Although I would take trg from Compuease again, I would make sure it was Alain conducting the trg.

Didn't help me at all. Too fast, too many things for one day of training. Any time for practicing. It looks more like presentation which I didn't expect. I wanted to learn something and not just to be impresses by somebody's knowledge and I didn't learned anything. Only thing that I learned is to think twice before to give your many. Sorry for saying that, but I don't recommend it to anyone.

Very good training. Introduction to course was a little lengthy, I felt that there was a little bit too much emphasis on minor details that we already knew (i.e.printing) and that this time could have been used on more details about Excel. The course was extremely helpful however and the consultant explained things very clearly. The building is old (which I understand is not the tenant's fault) but it smelt of mold which doesn't make for the most comfortable environement.

Being in a small classroom space, surrounded by overpowering scents was very distracting and made it difficult to breathe.

The instructor easily adapted to special requests that were above and beyond what was listing in the course offering. A couple of us wanted to know more about MS Project 2010 and, when it was not at all inconvenient to the other participants, she walked us through some of the differences. This added a lot of value to the course. Her confidence with the material was contagious.

The room was kept at about 100 degrees. Also, we needed Photoshop CS5 on MACS. After we paid/registered, I was emailed and told they didn't have Macs. I said okay, we'll cancel. Then they said whoops sorry, we do have Macs. 12 hours before the course was to begin (we were travelling from out of town) they emailed to say they didn't have CS5 but only CS4 but that the instructor was "very knowledgeable." When we got there, there were in fact two computers that had CS5, but they weren't MACS, so we had to choose, either a PC with CS5 or a MAC with CS4. My PC kept crashing because it was so old and slow it couldn't handle a program like Photoshop. And since we were on CS5, everything the instructor told the class to do did not match what was on our screen and we had to hold the class up every half an hour saying "I don't have that option on my screen." The instructor made several references to sex (I appreciated his sense of humor, but not his taste or lack of) and he seemed more like a surfer dude than a teacher. He was very disorganized ,jumping all over the place, changing his mind about what he was going to talk about, etc. It was hard to follow what was going on in his head.

The smaller class size allowed for more one-on-one time with the instructor during the hands-on exercises, which optimized the learning experience. The course manual was a bit lacking, but luckily our instructor was a true expert in the field and was able to go into detail and even treat us to more advance applications when he saw that we were ready to take on the more advanced applications. I will certainly be taking another course with the training provider, especially if they continue to provide the student with such stellar instructors!

Company obviously not prepared for training--trainer's computer did not work and went down 4 or 5 times, my workstation did not work, I moved from computer to computer, none of these worked so had to share. Workstations not prepared prior to course with proper files (instructor had to load during break and this took over an hour). I could go on and on about how terrible this training was and this was not due to the instructor who was trying. We ended the session and asked for a re-take as the training was a complete disaster from start to end. One star for many of the above ratings is being generous.
