Course Outline
This course will introduce students to both descriptive and univariate inferential statistical procedures used commonly in social science research.

Three different aspects of statistical reasoning will be emphasized:
  • Computational formulas and assumptions
  • Computer applications using SPSS
  • Appropriate uses of univariate statistics

The topics we will cover include descriptive summary statistics, correlation, regression, t-tests, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Very little time will be spent on data manipulation and data transformation (as these topics are covered in the SPSS Application)

The instructor was excellent! One of the best instructors/educators I've had over the past 30 years. His ability to communicate the material far exceeded my expectations and made me feel comfortable and engaged in class.
