Lessons
OneNote 2016 is Microsoft's note-taking and organizational application and this latest version incorporates a refined page hierarchy, better searching options, automatic links to pasted content, task integration with Outlook, and a variety of new sharing options to make working with others easier. This course covers different features of the interface, shows users how to print, covers some simple scenarios, and examines the basics of formatting. When the course is completed your students will be comfortable creating a new OneNote notebook, customizing the interface, entering information into OneNote from a variety of sources, and using OneNote's collaboration tools.Course Outline
- Exploring Notebook Structure
- This session gets users in the on the ground floor with a look at the basics. Here, students will learn how to navigate their way around OneNote 2016, how to create a notebook, use templates, and customize the interface.
- Adding Content and Formats to a OneNote Notebook
- This lesson shows students how to: modify notebook formatting, add images and tables, add audio and video while also adding Quick Notes and links. Students are also shown how to use tags, symbols, drawing tools, and pen options.
- Managing OneNote Notebooks, History, and Backups
- Over the span of this lesson, students will learn ways to save and export content as well as use alternate file types. The lesson wraps up with a look at how to manage notebook recycle bins and backups.
- Working with Embedded Files
- OneNote can mesh seamlessly with other Microsoft programs such as Excel and Visio and this lesson looks at ways to work with their spreadsheets and diagrams. Students are also shown how to work with other embedded files.
- Sharing and Collaborating with Notebooks
- Sharing and collaborating are the hallmarks of the modern linked workplace and those skills are covered here. Students will learn to send a notebook and use Outlook integration. They will also learn how to share and collaborate on notebooks.
- Finalizing a Notebook
- This OneNote 2016 course wraps up with a look at finalizing a notebook and various related aspects. Students are taught how to finalize a notebook using proofing and print settings, how to configure notebooks settings, properties, and security. They will also learn how to search notebooks.
Cancellation Policy
Eliquo Training and Development Inc. will make every attempt to be flexible in regards to class cancellations and rescheduling. In an attempt to make sure that everyone enjoys a consistent training experience, Eliquo offers the following cancellation policy: Any student cancellation that occurs a minimum of six (6) business days prior to a scheduled class is eligible for a full class credit or a 100% refund on the cost of the class. Due to scheduling logistics, if you cancel or re-schedule a registration within five (5) business days of the course date, payment is due in full at that time and will be held as a credit towards a re-scheduled date or a future course booking. Course credits are valid for 12 months from the date of the original class booking. All cancellations and rescheduling must be in writing and sent either by email to registrations@lastminutetraining.ca or by fax to 647.258.9319. Verbal communication of a cancellation will not meet our refund requirements. In the event that a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, your full registration fee will be refunded or you can reserve a seat in the next available class. You will be notified of a class cancellation at least five (5) business days in advance of the scheduled class. Eliquo Training and Development Inc. reserves the right to postpone or cancel a class at any time, in which case the refund and rescheduling policy would apply. Eliquo Training and Development Inc. is not liable for any travel expenses incurred by the student, even in the event of a cancellation.
