This course focuses on the important, new IPS 6.0 features used to protect network systems from intrusions and security threats. This course takes a task-oriented approach to teaching the skills to deploy, configure, and administer Cisco IPS sensors. Suggested prerequisites are CCNA and CCNA Security Certification. Students must possess basic knowledge of the Window operating system as well as familiarity with networking and security terms and concepts. We also strongly suggest SNRS as a prerequisite. This course is for technicians using or designing networks with Cisco IPS products.
Skills taught
Learners will deploy, configure, and administer Cisco IPS sensors to protect network devices as well as efficiently manage IPS alarms.
