The purpose of this course is to help you understand the theory and process of effective negotiations.


 
Course Outline
Negotiation is the art and science of securing agreements between two or more interdependent parties. It can be very difficult to do well. Even the most experienced negotiators often fall prey to common biases and errors in judgment. The purpose of this course is to help you understand the theory and process of effective negotiations. The best way to learn negotiation skills and actually internalize them is to negotiate in a setting where insight is offered, feedback is plentiful, personal reflection is encouraged, and careful analysis is required. Therefore, the course relies primarily on "hands on" learning to help participants understand the negotiating process and their own strengths and weaknesses. Note: this course is intended for general business situations.

Cancellation Policy
Participants who withdraw or fail to find a substitute less than 5 business days before the start of their course will be charged a fee based on the workshop duration as follows:
- $50 --- half-day workshop
- $100 --- one-day workshop
- $150 --- two-day workshop
Participants may withdraw or transfer to a different workshop 5 business days or more before the start of the workshop at no penalty. Individuals must notify the Centre for Continuing Education in writing to withdraw from a workshop.
Substitutions for a paid registration are welcome at anytime. The Centre for Continuing Education reserves the right to substitute qualified instructors due to unforeseen circumstances

For a basic introduction to Macros, this was a good session. Perhaps, the handouts could have included a link to a 'bible' of more advanced commands.
