Students will become comfortable in the Illustrator interface and learn many of the tools, features and skills that will enable them to create simple illustrations, logos, advertisements and other graphic documents. Other topics that will be addressed include vector vs. raster, CMYK vs. RGB, as well as preparing files for output to both print and web.
We are teaching 5.5 but students can receive the manual for any version back to 4. We teach in a lab where each student can choose to use either Mac or PC. The interface is the same just the shortcut keys change.
