Course Outline
PRINCE2™, “Projects in Controlled Environments”, is a project management methodology very popular in both public and private sectors in the UK. It emphasizes the role of a “Project Board”, and end-of-phase reporting and approval. Visit www.ogc.gov.uk/prince2. It is not at all contrary to the processes described in the PMBOK® Guide of the Project Management Institute. We recommend that organizations consider this approach to projects.

Procept Associates Ltd. has partnered with a leading UK PRINCE2 training organization, Raj Khanna Associates Ltd., an Accredited Training Organization for APMG UK, to provide the PRINCE2™ 3-day Foundation and 2-day Practitioner courses.

Both are APM Group Ltd (APMG) Accredited Courses that covers the elements contained in the APMG Syllabus for the PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) Foundation and Practitioner Course.

The Foundation course is aimed at individuals who need to be informed members of a project management team within an environment using PRINCE2™ methodology. It is targeted towards explanation of various terminology, the purpose and benefits of the documents produced and how these can be applied to everyday project work. The various elements of PRINCE2 will be re-enforced using a sample case study.

The Practitioner course is aimed at individuals who have successfully completed their PRINCE2™ Foundation examination and now need to review in detail PRINCE2™ processes, components and techniques.

The PRINCE2™ Foundation and Practitioner course is based on the new PRINCE2™ 2009 version.

The delegates are expected to apply their project management experience and knowledge of PRINCE2™ to a given scenario.

The course will use a mix of tutorial, group work and self-study to enhance the individual learning including the use of sample examination papers to familiarize participants with the Practitioner examination.
