During this three day interactive training course, you will learn how to install, configure, administer, support and troubleshoot Websense Web Filtering (WWF) and Websense Web Security (WWS) products.

Course Outline
During this three day interactive training course, you will learn how to install, configure, administer, support and troubleshoot Websense Web Filtering (WWF) and Websense Web Security (WWS) products. You will also be introduced to the fundamentals of the new Websense Security Gateway (WSG) which includes an optional add-on module for WWF/WWS called the “Content
Gateway Module” comprised of an SSL Manager, Web 2.0 Categorization, Dynamic Classification and a Web Proxy and Cache.
The full Websense Security Gateway adds the “Active Security Module” which uses real-time ThreatSeeker Analytics, Dynamic Malware Control and Malicious Malware Stripping.

The 3 day participative class features lecture and group discussions, as well as an innovative new lab structure:
1. Traditional hands-on labs: “follow the recipe” labs for tasks that require absolute fidelity.
2. iLabs and iDemos: where the instructor demonstrates specific features or capabilities.
3. Concept labs: where participants are presented with a particular scenario, (reporting for example) where the need is to determine the top categories posing the greatest security risk to an organization, or the requirement to create a report showing users with the greatest amount of hits in the Spyware category, reported without compromising user identities.
4. Troubleshooting labs: where typical customer issues and problem are setup within the lab and participants are given the opportunity to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair real-world problems such as data not being logged to the database, users not receiving a block page, inability to add directory objects, etc.

Labs will be delivered in a Lab Workbook with guided discussions and areas to take notes. One other notable curriculum/lab enhancement is the inclusion of VMWare images distributed with every hands-on class for a uniform and successful lab environment. Course structure will vary from 1:2 to 1:3 – one hour of slides to 2 or 3 hours of practical lab work.

Here are some reviews of the training vendor.
I liked the pace and the "teach then try" style that was used. It was engaging, we weren't listening to long sets of info then trying to remember it and it made the day fly by. I also retained more as I was instantly engaged with trying the skills myself.

This was a good course to learn the essentials of Captivate as a software program.

The instructor was great and followed the curriculum as per Adobe's book but Dreamweaver is a beast of a software with a high learning curve. I found that this course just scratched the surface and taught me the basics and that I would need more practice and learning to create a simple website with ease. This is not a criticism of the course really but I felt I would personally benefit from a slightly slower pace and an extra day. I didn't know that at the time as I seemed to follow the instructor's instructions well and it seemed to make sense in the classroom but once I got home I felt a little stuck!
