Simply Accounting Introduction (2 Day)

This course is hands-on and designed to provide participants with a solid understanding Simply Accounting. Some of the topics will include: converting information; setting company defaults; journal entries; printing and saving; and much, much more.

Course Outline

This course is hands-on and designed to provide participants with a solid understanding Simply Accounting. The class runs two days in length from 9:00 until 4:00. Included with all courses are course notes, a pad for note taking and telephone support following the class.

The topics in this course will include:

Starting the package including:

• Creating a directory to store company data
• entering a company name
• choosing the correct using date
• moving through the menus; saving information.

Converting manual information including:

• Reviewing chart of accounts; establishing start, conversion and finish dates; removing integration accounts; modifying, inserting and deleting accounts; entering historical balances; setting ledgers to ready.

Setting company defaults including:

• Entering the company name and address; checking the company status; choosing a printer; setting cheque, invoice and statement capabilities; adjusting report parameters.

G/L, A/R, A/P journal entries including:

• Entering journal information; editing and saving; exiting an entry; viewing entries; correcting journal entries.

Printing and saving including:

• Printing reports to screen and printer; printing journals & financial statements; saving work.

Miscellaneous topics including:

• Making copies of accounting information; preparing for new fiscal year; exporting to other packages.

Included with all course are course notes, a pad for note taking and telephone support following the class. Participants will receive a Certificate of completion

Cancellation Policy

Please note that CL Douglas requires 5 business days notice of your intent to postpone or cancel a course. A fee of not less than $50.00/course to a maximum of the full fee per course is due on the day of the scheduled course if the above condition is not met or if the registrant fails to notify CL Douglas that they will not be attending the course. If you cancel or postpone you will be issued a reference number. Fees for courses due to cancellation, postponement or for failure to notify may at the discretion of CL Douglas be applied to future courses providing enrollment is completed in a two month period from the date of the originally scheduled class.

This was a great seminar and although the outside of the building was deceiving (needing a little work as an old house converted to this) the inside was warm and inviting. The special touches like baked goodies and fruit and full service kitchenette were
