Excel 2007 II. Formulas CCE-572

This session explores basic Excel functions such as working with the Office Assistant, copying and moving data, navigating workbooks, working with ranges, special paste functions, formatting cells, and customizing Excel's preferences.

Course Outline

Learn to use the power of Formula in a spreadsheet. Participants will explore the use of simple formula and how to access Excel's extensive list of formula functions. Explore the difference between “relative” and “absolute” formula & how to develop formula across worksheets. This session will also introduce more advanced formula features, such as using conditional “IF and “Then” statements within a formula.

Pre-Requisites

Excel 2007 I. Introduction CCE-571 McMaster University CE Microsoft Office workshops (access. Word, etc.) are designed to be taken sequentially. In most cases, it is recommended the you attend ALL workshops listed in a series. Other prerequisites are noted as applicable.

Certificates offered

A letter of participation.

Cancellation Policy

Participants who withdraw or fail to find a substitute less than 5 business days before the start of their course will be charged a fee based on the workshop duration as follows:
- $50 --- half-day workshop
- $100 --- one-day workshop
- $150 --- two-day workshop
Participants may withdraw or transfer to a different workshop 5 business days or more before the start of the workshop at no penalty. Individuals must notify the Centre for Continuing Education in writing to withdraw from a workshop.
Substitutions for a paid registration are welcome at anytime. The Centre for Continuing Education reserves the right to substitute qualified instructors due to unforeseen circumstances

For a basic introduction to Macros, this was a good session. Perhaps, the handouts could have included a link to a 'bible' of more advanced commands.
