This two day intensive course presents investment decision methods for economic evaluation of alternative engineering projects. Discounted cash flow and other techniques commonly used by economic analysts are presented and illustrated in this course.

Course Outline
After participating in the seminar, you will be able to:

  • projects using the input of both technical and non-technical personnel

  • recognize the essential features of winning proposals
  • take into consideration the current tax rules that can benefit your project economically
Description This two day intensive course presents investment decision methods for economic evaluation of alternative engineering projects. Discounted cash flow and other techniques commonly used by economic analysts are presented and illustrated in this course.  The techniques are applicable for evaluations of all types of projects.  The course content and example problems have been chosen to be of value to individuals with widely varying backgrounds and current interests, including persons without any previous evaluation experience as well as those who have done considerable evaluation work.
Objective To familiarize participants with the methods used in making investment decisions as well as for preparing proposals for financing engineering projects.
