Describe the rationale behind each change in the Code.
Work with the Code having received answers to your questions about the new Code.

Description

Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code enhances confidence and efficiency of bridge engineers, inspectors and contractors.  The code includes loads, simplified method of analysis, and design of new highway bridges and evaluation/rehabilitation of existing highway bridges.  In addition to the conventional bridge structures, the Code includes a section on Fibre Reinforced Structures.  This course covers the main advancements to bridge technology through the Canadian Highway Bridge Code. 

Objective

To provide an update for all individuals who work with the bridges whether in design, evaluation, construction or rehabilitation. 

Who Should Attend

Bridge design engineers, planners, bridge contractors, bridge inspectors, supervisors, consulting engineers and contractors involved in design, evaluation, and restoration of highway bridges.

Special Feature
This course includes practical workshops.  We suggest that you bring a copy of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (S6) and Commentary (S6.1) along with a calculator for the workshops.

To withdraw from a course, you must send a request, in writing, with the official receipt to our office. Fifteen or more business days in advance: full refund less $50.00 administration charge. Five to fifteen business days in advance: non-refundable credit of equal value for any future EPIC seminar within one year. Credits are transferable within your organization. In case of an unexpected event occurring after this time, you may send someone else to take your place without any additional cost.
