Do you need to create a chart that shows the personnel and reporting structure in your organization? Do you want to diagram other hierarchical relationships, such as a web site map or project elements?

Attend this course if you want to:

• Understand the Organization Chart menu and toolbar in Visio.

• Understand organization chart shapes.

• Add an Executive, Managers, Positions, Assistants, and other shapes to a chart.

• Use the Re-layout option to automatically arrange the shapes in the chart.

• Add multiple shapes simultaneously.

• Change a shape from one position type to another.

• Add a team frame around specific shapes.

• Add dotted line reports to indicate a secondary reporting relationship.

• Resize or change the spacing between shapes.

• Add pictures to organization chart boxes.

• Choose a color scheme and design theme for the chart.

• Display a divider line between the name and title on chart boxes.

• View and edit custom properties for chart shapes.

• Generate a chart using the Organization Chart Wizard.

• Create a multiple-page chart.

• Collapse (hide) subordinates beneath a shape.

• Create reports from organization chart data.

• Export organization chart data to Excel.

• Find a specific person or position in the chart quickly.

Comfortable creating basic Visio drawings and adding and formatting shapes in a drawing.

I liked the virtual training. So much easier to fit into my schedule. Did miss the interaction though. There were very little questions asked in both this one and the Powerpoint one. In the Excel presentation, I really liked that the trainer muted everyone. This wasn't the case with the power point one. There were baby noises in the background. Very disruptive and inconsiderate.
