Do you want to use Visio to create block diagrams, flowcharts, organization charts, and other types of business diagrams? This course provides a general introduction to the Visio interface and the drawing tools available in Visio.

Attend this course if you want to:

• Understand the types of drawings you can create with Visio.

• Understand and navigate in the Visio environment.

• Work with the Shapes Pane and Visio stencils.

• Change the page orientation (i.e., portrait or landscape).

• Add additional pages to a drawing.

• Save a drawing.

• Open and close existing drawings.

• Create new drawings.

• Add shapes to a drawing.

• Move, resize, flip or rotate, duplicate, group, align, and distribute shapes.

• Zoom in or out on the page.

• Connect shapes.

• Add a fill color, shadow, or other effects to a shape.

• Format lines and borders.

• Add text to shapes and drawings.

• Add a border, title, or background to a drawing.

• Print drawings.

• Get help in Visio.

Pre-Requisites

Comfortable with the Windows environment. Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word and/or PowerPoint) Familiarity with Microsoft Office AutoShapes and drawing tools is helpful but not essential

I did the online course and found it awesome! The instructor was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful I finished the course feeling I got my money's worth and then some. I liked the virtual training. So much easier to fit into my schedule. Did miss the interaction though. There were very little questions asked in both this one and the Powerpoint one. In the Excel presentation, I really liked that the trainer muted everyone. This wasn't the case with the power point one. There were baby noises in the background. Very disruptive and inconsiderate.
