Course Outline

Do you spend a lot of time searching for data in large spreadsheets? Would you like to perform database functions such as filtering, subtotaling, and sorting directly in your Excel spreadsheet?

Learn table design techniques, as well as procedures to sort, filter, and validate data. You will also learn to use formulas in tables and remove duplicate records.

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Learn the "rules" of designing an Excel table.

  • Define a range of cells into a table.

  • Freeze row or column titles so they don't disappear as you scroll.

  • Use table styles to change the look of your table quickly and easily.

  • Use formulas in tables.

  • Remove duplicate records from a table.

  • Sort data alphabetically or numerically.

  • Filter data to display a subset of the data.

  • Set up data validation criteria to prevent data entry errors.

  • Convert a table back to a normal cell range.

This course can ALSO be taught one-on-one or as a private, dedicated virtual classroom - call 877-313-8881 for more information.

Please note that I attended this course via Webinar so the facility rating is not applicable. Also not applicable is the Break Times rating since the course was only an hour and a half. I suggest you add an N/A column to your rating sheet.

I liked the virtual training. So much easier to fit into my schedule. Did miss the interaction though. There were very little questions asked in both this one and the Powerpoint one. In the Excel presentation, I really liked that the trainer muted everyone. This wasn't the case with the power point one. There were baby noises in the background. Very disruptive and inconsiderate.

My course was online so any ratings about the facility or instructor attire are not accurate but I can't turn this in without filling them out.
