Course Outline

Summary Leadership is crucial to individual and organizational success in today's challenging global environment. Leaders conceive and initiate strategies that create and sustain competitive differentiation and advantage. This course focuses on leadership as a process and emphasizes that managers can become leaders if they choose to do so. The basic premise of this course is that we know leaders by what they do. The course presents basic leadership concepts and the essentials that every effective leader practices. The course then examines core leadership behaviors and the results of applying them. Ground rules for job success in today's information age are evaluated. The final portion of the course addresses ethical considerations in leadership, and thoroughly explores the leader's role in creating, inspiring, and maintaining an ethical climate.

Objectives To consider the principles of leadership and practice the personal skills involved in effective team leadership.

The course content was interesting; however, the instructor didn't have enough knowledge about Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 Development and wasn't able to answer questions without google search. In the future CTE needs to make sure the instructors have real on-hands experience and are highly trained in the technologies they are supposed be teaching.
